UKAIS calls for bids for funding of up to £2000 for research projects which will further knowledge and understanding of Information Systems and the means by which people and organisations, utilise technologies, gather, process, store, use and disseminate information. We are particularly interested in the study of theories and practices related to the social and technological phenomena, which determine the development, use and effects of information systems in organisations and society. The funding can be used to further research in the field of Information Systems. This could include the cost of fieldwork, data analysis, short term employment of a research assistant, buying out teaching to free time for research, travel for the purpose of data collection etc.
