UKAIS Award Criteria

UKAIS Award nominations are judged on two criteria, namely (a) a substantial and original contribution to the field of information systems and (b) a tangible contribution to information systems community.

  • Contribution to the field of information systems can be demonstrated through developing new insights, methods or substantial empirical achievements which have been recognised internationally. Such recognition may be in the form of high-esteem publication in international journals, practice-oriented publications and reports, significant contribution to information systems pedagogic research and practice, etc.
  • The second criterion can be evidenced through IS editorial roles, participation in relevant funding bodies, involvement in REF/TEF panels as IS expert, outstanding engagement with the public and society promoting the role of information systems, tangible impact to policy, etc.
