UKAIS provides a forum for discussing issues in IS teaching and research and lobby’s professional/policy bodies on behalf of our field, such as HEFCE, the UK Research Councils, UK business and Government.

- To promote a better knowledge and understanding of information systems within the United Kingdom.
- To improve the practice of information systems teaching and research.
- To enable successful knowledge transfer of IS research into teaching and practice in order to provide a positive economic and societal impact.

- The UKAIS conference held annually is the UK’s premier academic event in the Information Systems calendar and has been running since 1994.
- UKAIS attracts delegates and leading scholars from a wide range of international academic institutions including South Africa, Australia, Brazil, Thailand, Japan and Nigeria.
- Typical conference numbers range from 70-100 full conference attendees and the event also attracts a high number of early career researchers making it one of the most accessible and supportive events in the IS calendar.
